Two Tickets Abroad

About Two Tickets Abroad

A small editorial team writing about the part of travel guidebooks tend to skip: how things work on the ground.

We write about travel in Europe for people who like to arrive prepared. Not the top ten sights, but the things that decide how your first evening goes: when the kitchen opens, whether the bread on the table is free, how much to leave for the waiter, which ticket gets you from the airport to your hotel, and what locals quietly expect from a visitor.

Who we are

Two Tickets Abroad is written and edited by a small in-house team. We publish as a team rather than under individual bylines, and we do not invent personas or travel stories to make a page feel more personal. When an article says "we", it means the editors who researched and checked it.

How we research

Facts come from primary sources wherever we can find them: transport operators, airports, city governments, tourism boards and official statistics. Each guide lists the sources we checked at the bottom of the page, and the key facts box shows the date it was last checked. When a rule or a price is uncertain, we say so.

How we keep guides current

Fares, opening hours and laws change. We revisit guides regularly and update the "Updated" date at the top whenever something material changes. If you spot an outdated detail, you can reach the editors at the address in our privacy policy.

Money and partners

The site is free to read. The same small team also runs ShuttleHero, a private airport transfer service, and some guides link to it where a transfer genuinely helps. So this site is not independent of ShuttleHero. Those links are marked, public transport is always described next to them, and the details are on our disclosure page.
